GIULIA TIDDENS

I was only five when I came to Rome but even at that early age this magnificent city must have had a great impact on me as History of Art has always been my favorite subject. That’s probably why I had no doubt when I had to decide what to study at the University. A BA degree in “History and Conservation of the Cultural Heritage” at the “Università di Roma Tre” and then an MA degree in “History of Art” studied partly at the “Università di Roma Tre” and partly at the University of Edinburgh. While I was studying I had the chance to work as a tour guide in a very lovely museum in Rome called Palazzo Spada, that’s when I actually understood that I would have loved to be a tour guide. In the while my Dutch part of the Family and my English friends started come visiting me or send their friends. At this stage I understood that it was about time to create some proper tours to get them to know the best of the city together with the culture, the uses and the way of saying of the Romans! To make the picture complete after finishing my studies I undertook the exam to become an official guide which I passed without problems at the first attempt. In my spare time I keep myself up to date with all the new discoveries and I study new challenging tours!
